Job Search Sites for Other States (specifically California)
DH is currently a HS English teacher and has done the library/media specialist. He has his secondary ed degree and a MLS.
He's looking for jobs in other states, specifically CA but we are open to a few states. He'd prefer a library job but is open to English positions.
Just wondering if anyone knew of any good and legit web sites that have education job openings in other states.

do you know where in CA?
sandi.net is the San Diego city Schools (where I used to live)
I saw Deborah Ford at a conference about 2 years ago and she said that they were still hiring librarians. i don't know if things have changed. Especially with what is happening in LA. IMO librarians are going the way of the dodo bird and I am concerned...I really feel like I want to go back to my classroom position where I am state mandated. (there was just an opening at HHH btw)
Other districts in san diego county you just have to look at their websites (Although I'm not sure if they have some sort of olas service)
here is a list Just looked and saw a MS LMS at coronado, but it seems like it is expired.
From experience, I had to take my CA test first (CBEST) and then apply for my CA teaching certificate.

Orange County, LA and San Diego are fine too. generic So Cal area.
Thanks for all the info... we haven't even started looking into what else might be done. We are just starting to go from wishful thinking to seriously looking... but I know jobs are scare everywhere. And that English might be easier to find a job in than the library (and that was horrible grammar lol!!). Esp with what is happening in LA... that's so crazy and ridiculous.

btw - there is a HS English position opened in my district. It says leave replacement in Sept and probationary starting Feb
