Jobs at Cablevision

How is the pay, benefits and how do they treat their employees?

My BIL used to work there. I don't know about the $ or the benefits, but I do know that he was never able to move up there. Whenever he interviewed for a better position, there always said he didn't have enough experience, or that someone else had more experience. He ended up quitting and working for geico instead.

Interesting. Lots of places are like that. There is a lot of nepotism around too.
Can I ask what he did there?

He was a tech guy- he actually spent a lot of time driving around disconnecting illegal cable hook-ups. Not sure what the formal title of his position was.

My dh has worked there for over 10 years and I think he likes it. He worked his way up from "cable guy" to engineer. He's advanced considerably in the time he's been there. The health insurance is great. United Health Care and the perk of having free cable phone and internet is great.

The health insurance there is fantastic, and if you don't make a lot of money salary wise, they give you the insurance for free. Even a family plan!
The family plan at my job is a ridiculous $850 a month.

my husband has sent his resume so many times, they are always posting that they are hiring. he even went on two interviews-one was a walk in and he knew the interviewer and the other time was through an agency ..and they even drug tested him for it but nothing ever came of it?! frustrating!
