jobs with animals???
I'd LOVE to work with animals (mostly dogs really). Right now I work in an office and am sooooooo unfullfilled. I really don't want to go back to school (so nothing like a vet..lol), but I will take courses or a training class if needed. Do you have any ideas for me? TIA.

You could try Vet assistant. I am a Vet tech but I went to school for it.
Some clinics are willing to train. Take a looking in Newsday job section. There are a few openings for assistant. Good luck!!!!!

I even saw online, monster I think, a position for a vet office coordinator.

I just received an e-mail from the Little Shelter Animal Rescue (Huntington) and they're looking for a FT dog adoption counselor, a PT dog caretaker and LOTS of volunteers

How long did you go to school? What does your job include .. surgery?
I went to suffolk for two years.
Job includes taking blood, assisting during surgery, taking x-rays, getting the animals history and brief exam of the animal (taking temp, heart rate)
