Jogging strollers?
I'm in the market for a jogging stroller. For now I've been getting by on my Maclaren which I love but while I don't "jog" I do powerwalk a lot and want something a bit better for bumps and sidewalks.
Which brands are best? What special features should I be looking for?
Can you buy a good one for not a TON of money?
TIA

Re: Jogging strollers?
a friend of mine bought me one (I didnt register for it, I figured I'd buy it myself later on) and she got the baby expedition one from BRU. Its very sturdy, but bulky. I also would recommend looking into the ones that have a moveable front wheel, mine is fixed and makes running on a track harder. I prefer to run around the town, so I don't have too many turns, but the fixed wheel in the front is a pain. It was about $100 I think..

Re: Jogging strollers?
My SIL and I looked into this and found the City model by Baby Jogger to be the best. Yes, its $300 but it can be used for power walking/jogging and then clicked into another position to manuver through the grocery store. It is very light, has small wheels(that come off to go on a plane), and folds with one hand.
I checked out my SIL and had to register for one for myself. It also comes with an optional brace for the Graco model Metropolitan baby car seat so its a travel set as well.

Re: Jogging strollers?
I have a Jeep Liberty Urban Terrain walking stroller, about $100 from BRU/TRU. It has a moving front wheel and it great for walking. We took it to an arboreteum this weekend and it did great on the trails. They sell it in a few colors combos too... Image Attachment(s):

did you have to buy this yourself or was it on your registry? Just wondering who may have the best price.

Re: Jogging strollers?
I recently got the Baby Trend Jogging stroller. It's one of the cheapest and it does the job for me!

Re: Jogging strollers?
I have the Baby Trend Expedition LX and I absolutely love it. I don't jog but I do power walk and it's terrific. I must have got it on sale b/c we only paid $139.99 but I see it on BRU.com for $149.99 The one thing that was worth it all is that this one accomodates infants. It was the only one in BRU that had the infant headrest. Most others (like the Jeep one) the child needs to be much bigger in order to ride in it. Image Attachment(s):

Re: Jogging strollers?
I have a Dreamer Design Manhattan with a front swivel wheel that can also be locked. My DH surprised me with it and I love it! It is soooo smooth compared to my Peg Perego and it has really good reviews. It comes with a huge canopy that rotates all the way down and is great for blocking wind and sun and it also comes with a rain canopy. It has tons of storage pockets and a big basket underneath and it goes up to 80 pounds so I can use it for a long time. I think it usually costs about $300, but my DH bought it brand new from ebay for I think $139.

I have the same exact one in blue and I used it like 5 times before getting pregnant with number two. Now that I'll have two babies, I have no need for a single joggin stroller, so if you're interested, I'd be willing to sell it to you for a fair price. I have pictures of it...was going to try and sell on Craigslist.
