John might have asthma
Since Labor Day weekend John has been sick twice and they diagnosed it being asthma. So he has been on Prednisone, nebulizing alot and also on singular for a month. Just curious from other Mothers how your child did while on this medication, any side effects I should know about?

Re: John might have asthma
I felt that Joseph was very moody while on Prednisone - over & above the normal 2-3 year old mood swings, but he was only on it for a very short time. While he hasn't been diagnosed with asthma, he definitely has lung issues.
Was he diagnosed by a pulmonologist or his ped?

Re: John might have asthma
we are definitely experiencing roid rage in my house.
the Prednisone makes him really bad, so I do that first thing in the morning...then basically lock him up...in high chair, then stroller.
it usually lasts 1.5-2 hours.
he gets a little moody with the pulmicort, but not nearly as bad.
good luck!

The steroids make the kids out of whack. I don't send my 10 yr ds to school the first day he is on it. It also increases their appetite. As for the Singulair, my son got headaches from it.

Re: John might have asthma
awwww I can't wait for him to talk to tell me if he has a headache or not. Imagine I am dragging him to park if he has a headache?
Appetite has definitely increased. I don't leave the house without snacks on hand...he eats and eats.
also, make sure you are brushing his teeth...
I have also read things on acne
