Re: Johnson's Bedtime Lotion
Smells pretty but its a waste. Just give him a warm bath at bedtime, baths make them tired

Re: Johnson's Bedtime Lotion
I am a formulations chemist (I make skin care products) and I just checked out the ingredient list for you. This is a very basic lotion. It says it is suppossed to relax and calm the baby? That is just marketing talk. The lavender and chamomile (which are relaxing), you will see below, are not on the ingredient list. It is simply a lavender and chamomile fragrance. It is probably a good moisturizer and will leave the skin soft, but the relaxing part I would not buy into. There is nothing special in here, just a lot of fatty acids: *Water * Propylene Glycol - humectant, helps stop product from freezing or melting *Myristyl Myristate - thickener, emollient *Glyceryl Stearate- tyickener, emollient *Stearic Acid - emollient *Oleic Acid - surfactant, thickening agent *Polysorbate 61 - emollient, thickening agent *Stearoxymethylsilane, ??Never heard of it?? *Dimethicone - silicone, used to add slip *Isopropyl Palmitate - emollient, thickener *Sorbitan Stearate - thicken and stabilize *Fragrance - fragrance *Stearyl Alcohol, thickener, emollient *Cetyl Alcohol - emollient, emulsifier, thickener *Synthetic Beeswax - thickener, emollient *Benzyl Alcohol - preservative *Carbomer, thickening agent *Methylparaben, preservative *Propylparaben, preservative *Sodium Hydroxide - pH adjuster to neutralizer carbomer *Butylparaben, preservative *BHT, antioxidant *Squalane - emolient, moisturizer *Glyceryl Oleate- emollient, thickening agent

Thanks Stacey and Julz! I had a feeling it was just a marketing thing!
