Jon and Kate plus 8 last night
Did anyone see it? I thought it went off really well with the exception of Mady's attitude and rolling her eyes at her mom in the chapel at the rehearsal. I know she's only like 7 or 8 but seriously i would never even THINK of being so disrespectful to my mom especially at that age
But all in all I enjoyed it. oh my gosh I LOVE the sextuplets....they're so adoreable

Yes, I have enjoyed the show, and i'm not dying to go to Hawaii!
I feel that Maddy and Cara....have been getting a little more bratty each show.

I know right??? Mady was always a brat but Cara was always such a good girl.....dont know whats going on with Cara. I'm thinking the stress of having so many younger siblings on top of the fact that there are always cameras around is probably getting to her.

omg! the wedding episode was so cute. I loved when they showed the first dance & the little kids were dancing with eachother. And when Kate mentioned the line from the song " I hear babies cry & I'll wath them grow" I was in tears..

Yes, Maddy can be pretty bratty- but honestly- she probably just gets her behavior from watching Kate! Sometimes she isn't the nicest- kids are parrots!

Mady was always the brat and not Cara. She does it to see what she can get away with. I think the twins are just sick of being on TV and are acting out.

I feel bad for Mady & Cara. They have those cameras in their face 3 or 4 days a week, and all the time on vacations. It seems like when they go out places people fawn all over the little kids and kinda ignore the big girls. If I was their age I'd probably have an attitude about it too.
Plus they were traveling for 2 weeks, which is a lot for an adult to handle, let alone a kid.

Yes, they are old enough to understand, they have seen the show.
I think its just their age, and who knows what the other kids say to them at school about them being on TV.

I agree. And as far as Maddy being bratty, honestly how can the parents properly (& consistently) discipline them when they are in front of a whole camera crew and millions of viewers? I'm not saying they would or should beat them behind closed doors but surely some dynamic of how they parent and the kids' behavior would be different if they weren't in that situation. Plus Kate is a beyotch so often, I'm sure it's not hard to emulate that behavior.

I loved seeing Hawaii. DH and I stayed near that hotel on our honeymoon and went to dinner at the Humuhumunukunukuapuaa Restaurant that they ate at last week. Sooooooo made me want to go back.
I felt bad for Maddy. Kate was making it seem that Mady wanted to do something in the ceremony and Maddy said "wanted too?!" and rolled her eyes. Obviously she didn't "want" to do whatever it was - she had no choice.
i once saw a picture online of mady & cara's bedroom door with this poster they made that said stuff like "no cameras allowed" and crossed out pictures of camera people. it was on one of these blogs that probably doesn't exist anymore because they keep getting taken down. but anyway, the point was the older girls definitely feel their privacy being invaded and definitely don't like it.

I absolutely think Maddy & Cara "get" that they're on TV. I also absolutely think they both understand why they have to live with TV crews in their lives constantly, and I feel horribly for both of them because of it (the reason being that they are the twin older siblings of sextuplets). How would you feel if you constantly had cameras in your face when you had a bad day, or you just wanted to cry, or have a tantrum, or whatever? It has to be SO HARD on them.
I think they react to it differently. Maddy acts out when she doesn't want the cameras around, and Cara withdraws from them. We'll never see the "whole picture," because their parents have a say in what is shown on TV.
I used to love this show, but now I feel bad for these kids, whose private moments are shown on TV (would you want the entire US to see your first "poop in the potty?"), and they have no control over it.
