Jonah went for a weight check today! Good news!
He went from 8lbs 4oz on Monday to 8lbs 14oz today!! The supplementing is working and we don't have to worry about the milk protein allergy.
He had been such a different baby since I started supplementing - so much happier. I feel terrible because I feel like I have been starving him  . But up until this month he had been gaining and Mady is doing so great with BFing.
Ped said he might have a bad latch, might be getting tired, or his head could be bothering him so much its distracting him from eating - which is definitely a good possibility because while he nurses he is constantly scratching/rubbing his head.
Of course then I said I'm worried Madelyn isn't getting enough either, and he said NO NO don't worry about her!! LOL I think he was worried I was going to start supplementing her too and she would turn into a monster baby.
Bottom line is, he is doing great now, and thats the most important thing.

WOW Lauren... that is crazy weight gain so fast. I think maybe their scale might have been a little off between visits. Didn't you go a week ago??
Any Who... that is GREAT NEWS!!!
A lot of times when babies weight goes down its harder fro tehm to BF and the get a little weak. You may notice that as he gains more weight he may BF better!!

I know it wasn't even a week ago - we went on monday.
First the nurse took me in a different room than monday and it read 9lbs2oz - I was like whoa- no way could he have gained almost a pound in 5 days. So we went to the room we were in the last time and it was a 10oz gain. There also might have been a difference from monday because he was due for a feeding mon and today he had just eaten before we went. Either way, I'm just glad he is doing well! I was so worried.

Yeah the feeding could have added a litte. But even so that is AWESOME that he gained significantly since Monday!!!

Great news lauren! I had to supplement too and my lil guy was also a new baby overnight and I had the same thought then that he hadn't been getting enough all that time. But no worries - what's important is that he is doing great now!!
Do you know I couldn't fall asleep last night and for some reason what popped in my mind was that I couldn't remember what you named your ds? Lol. I have no idea where it came from but it was driving me nuts that I couldn't think of it. Probably bc I too am obsessed with thinking of being pregnant like you posted about and in turn I am constantly thinking about what to name my non-conceived children.
Anyway glad Jonah is doing well!
