Jordana's sick.... or so I thought

I got a call from daycare that Jordana was sick with a temp of 101.1 and vomiting. I ran over and she is screaming. She sort of threw up (it was thicker than spit up but not projectile). So I walk her home (15 minutes) and when we get home she is laughing and playful. I took her temp and its 98.7 Chat Icon And now I can't bring her back to daycare until tomorrow at 2.

I wouldn't think 101.1 temp is teething. Seems a bit high. Hopefully she was just fighting something off & has succeeded. The real test will be if her fever goes up tonight.

I would hold off on tylenol/motrin or any fever reducer to give her body a shot of killing off the infection by raising the body temp.

Is she mucousy (sp?)?

I received a call once from day care too that Peyton had a 101.1 and I had to come and get her. At daycare, they usually take temp under arm which really isn't that "accurate". Although the vomiting is probably something to be concerned about. I hope she feels better!!!

Not mucousy at all. And she is spitting up a little now and its 100% normal spit up.

My doctor didn't tell me to give her any medication. She is so happy and playful.

Is teething possible at her age? She is so young.

That's a little bizarre... the same thing happened to me, actually, when Alex was around 4 months. Daycare called me and said she had a slight fever and was acting unusual so they asked me to pick her up. I picked her up and she was FINE... a little clingy, but otherwise ok. The next day a little tooth made it's appearance Chat Icon
