jumbo mortgages and mort broker rec
any hope out there for conforming jumbo mortgages going down? Has anyone had a decent quote?
Is there anyway to take out 417K in a regular mortgage and then make up the rest somehow? (HEL/piggyback?)
It seems that I definitely need professional help...does anyone have a good mortgage broker...honest...no hidden fees?

I thought they changed the amount of jumbo mortgages to be over $700k.

Yeah but I heard that there is a rule the banks don't have to follow these new guidelines and can keep Jumbo at over 417k.

from what I have been reading, is that btwn 400-700K is the middle ground - "conforming jumbo loans"
over 700 is non-conforming? is that right?
I did see MA raised their 417 limit to the mid 550s - I can only hope that NY has too. That would work out pretty well.
