Jumparoo?
What is this and are there different ones? Joseph just wants to stand all the time and I put him in the activity center but his feet don't touch the bottom yet so he gets a little fidgety in it. I've seen the posts about the jumparoo...tell me more!

Re: Jumparoo?
Omg - Jake loves this thing! It has 4 height settings and at 6 months Jake is still on the lowest setting and his feet touch the ground just right. He is in the 90%ile for height (sorry don't remember his exact length at the moment). As soon as you start lowering him in there he starts kicking his legs in anticipation of bouncing. Basically their feet touch the ground and they push off the floor to make themselves bounce. I don't think it's necessarily good practice for walking since they can't see their feet so they don't really make the connection plus the movement is obviously completely different than walking. But, it does help them build strength in their legs, I believe, and it's a heck of alot of fun for them. Image Attachment(s):

Justin loves his Jumperoo too!! It is more for entertainment I think then teaching him how to walk.

Re: Jumparoo?
Christopher loves it! Sometimes he even tries to "jump" when he's in his exersaucer or I'm holding him in a standing position.

Re: Jumparoo?
We borrowed a jumparoo from a friend and then when they needed it back we got a doorway jumper for Jack.. since it was cheaper and would take up less room in storage. I love the doorway one because he can spin around and seems to have more fun with it. Plus it's nice that we can bring it to friends homes with us.

Re: Jumparoo?
They have three kinds.
Stationary Jumperoo (Jack @ 4 months) with a towel added and a pillow underneath
Johnney Jump Up in my MIL kitchen on Thanksgiving. (Not a huge fan of this one)
Jack in his (I think evenflo jumper) in my halway he loves it because he can stand, jump and get air, lean, turn around and the plastic part protects him from the doorway ( which was a problem with the on above but luckily my MIL had a huge doorway) also you can attched toys to it or put things in the tray. Note... my dog even gets tired from watching him jump around which is why he looks so crazy.. they are best pals.

If he has good head control he should be able to use it. I waited until 5 months though with Jake.
