Jumperoo...Exersaucer...worth it? for how long?

I never used either with DD - dont ask me why, I think I didn't want to confine her so never bothered with either. Now that I have DS who is 3months I wonder if I should reconsider.

Any thoughts? are they good / bad?

how long do they use them for?

Jumperroo...worth every minute of it! He loved it!

Exersaucer--not worth it. DS used it maybe 2 times. We let him use the Jumperoo first so when he went in the exersaucer he wanted to bouce and couldnt. He got very frustrated so we never put him in it.

DS also never liked the excersaucer, but many kids absolutely love it! But he was a huge fan of the doorway jumper. I would see if any of your frineds have them and try it out first and see what he seems to like.

Re: Jumperoo...Exersaucer...worth it? for how long?

We've been using a doorway jumper since last weekend and DS loves it! And my brother is giving us the jumperoo they got from my sister so I'm sure he'll love that! My mom was going to get him the excersaucer for Christmas but I think just the jumperoo will be fine. We live in a split so the jumperoo will go on the mid level where there are no doorways with molding and the doorway jumper we use on the main level and I have yet to bring it up to the bedroom doors but I'm sure there will be a day!

So yeah for us, I think the jumperoo will be the better choice because DS is now a "jumper" fan! I think he'd have the same issue as PP and want to jump in an excersaucer and be frustrated he cannot!

I also bought with a gift card, but not yet opened, a walker with wheels that can be made stationery.

My dd is 4.5 months and loves the sassy door way jumper. Its so cute. She plays in it for 30 min then takes a good nap.

DS loved both. I'll still put him in them occasionally at 11 months if I need a few minutes to get something done.

Totally agree! DS is 8 months and is still loving his Jumperoo. I have the Rain Forest Jumperoo and it is almost like a Exersaucer. The seat turns and there are toys on all sides. The old Jumperoo didn't have this. Now I think they make the Precious Planet one, and I'm pretty sure it is very similar.

The exersaucer was irreplaceable for us. And it was a surefire way to get Lily to poop.

we used the exersaucer until dd was around 15 months, the only reason we retired it was cuz she was rocking it so much i was afraid it was gonna tip. she loved it, it was one of the only things that kept her busy for more then 5 minutes.

I def used the exersaucer with my 2nd DC than with my first! It was great when he couldnt sit up yet, but I needed to start dinner or tend to my DD! He liked it, but the window span is really only a couple of months! But I guess that is treu for most of the baby gadgets these days!
