adopt a shelter cat month.

I cannot take a cat but I try to get my mom too (she says NO, no more, her heart has been broken too many times with our cats deaths).
But I ALWAY donate to Valley Stream Cat rescue, even send in a check from time to time. I applaud their efforts. And I always go see the kitties at Petco.
