June/July Mommies Q re: Christmas

Just wanted to know what size Christmas dress/outfit you will be getting for your DC. I want to order one b/c we're going for pictures in a week or so, but not sure re: size. She's in 3-6 mo. now; will 6-9 mo. be too big? 3-6 too small?

She was 25 inches & 13lbs at her last appt a month ago

DS is in the home stretch of his 6 month clothing. So, Christmas pics will be in 9 months. It just a question of 1-3 weeks top.

I will probably get 6-9 months - I am trying to figure out what to do for thanksgiving - DD isn't going for her 4 month apt until thursday - but at her last visit she was 14lbs and 24 inches. A lot of her 3-6 has plenty of room - but a few things are starting to get a little short - I think most of her 3-6 will fit until December without a problem.

I got his outfits in 12 months. I held the 9m sweater up to the 12m and saw little difference so I went with the bigger. I figure I can throw it in the dryer if it is too big.

Re: June/July Mommies Q re: Christmas

Oh no, now I'm worried. DD is probably 14 or so pounds now (she'll be 4 months this weekend), but I got her holiday outfit for pictures in 3-6 months. I just started her in 3-6 months clothes, b/c a lot of the 0-3 Carters, etc clothes still fit her but are getting tight.

I hope the dress I got her fits her in a month or so for pictures...then I just have to worry about a dress for Christmas.

This sizing stuff is so confusing!

I think I am gonna get 6-9 months. I know it will be a little big on her but she needs it for the length as far a dress is concerned. If it was a skirt and top then I would get 3-6 months.

The Christmas dress I got is 12 mos. However, I think the dress runs small so that's why I got such a big size. In general, I would say definitely 6-9 mos. I'd rather the outfit be a bit roomier than a bit snug or short. Plus, DD has been in 3-6 mos. clothes since she was 2 mos.
