June mommies
Have you started thinking about coming home outfits yet? Sarah was born in the winter, so it was easy, I got a sweater and pants and winter hat.
This time I'm so confused. It'll be hot, so I was thinking shorts and a tee, but then again we'll be in the air conditioned hosptial, then the air conditioned car and then our air conditioned house, so I don't want the baby to be chilly.
What are you all thinking?

Re: June mommies
My mom bought me a really cute onesie outfit that is very light material, but still long sleeved and has feet. I'm just going to use that since she was so excited to buy it. It's beautiful, and she'll probably only fit in it for all of 30 minutes since the outfit is so tiny. And my mother refuses to take it back and get a bigger size.

That's cute she's so excited. Is it her first grandchild?
Is the outfit newborn or 0-3? Sarah was in 0-3 until she was 2.5 months old, she was 7lbs 8oz at birth.

Re: June mommies
ugh! i have no idea!! DH has a Yankee onsie that he is absolutley INSISTING wear home ... only it's a size 3-6 month! I keep explaining to him that he's going to be too small ... DH just keeps saying "pin it! cut it! tie it! anything so he can wear it!" guess i'll be shopping for a smaller size ...

Yes, it's the first grandchild, so she's ready to burst with excitement! The outfit is newborn, and I really doubt that I will be having a baby small enough to fit in it. I think I may go exchange it myself because I absolutely love the outfit, it's just so freaking teeny.

Re: June mommies
I was planning on buying 2 cute outfits (one boy, one girl) to have he/she wear home. I didn't want to just have a onesie on - I want it to be special.
But I've heard through the grapevine that my aunt bought something. Guess I'll wait and see what that looks like and then decide...

I have been thinking about this too.....I decided against the shorts idea. I have my eye on a really cute outfit at BRU - its light weight pants and ruffle short sleeved shirt. insterted to see what everyone else says...

Re: June mommies
Emma was born on June 19th. It was HOT the day we left. She had a pink onesie outfit, matching hat and socks. I couldnt even imagine putting her in pants that day. I did have a lightweight blanket to put over her. June is tricky, it could be 85 (like when she was born) or 70 like her birthday 2 years ago...

Re: June mommies
I bought a one piece outfit that is pretty lightweight in newborn. I was going to wait until after I see what I get at my shower and then pick something in 0-3 also. Now I am thinking that will be too hot. Well I guess I will do like I do when I go on vacation, over pack!

Re: June mommies
My mom bought a really cute white one piece outfit that I am planning to use. i know that she will love to see it in pictures. I'm afraid that it ay be too warm, but when else will the baby wear it. I't's especially hard because we don't know the sex yet.
