Yay! I love lurkers over here.  I actually love any opportunity I can get to blab about this adoption bc I'm obsessed. I go for my fingerprinting appt tomorrow. After that, I wait for a document stating that we have fingerprinting clearance, and then all of our paperwork gets sent over to Korea!  The latest time quote I got from our agency is 6-8 weeks from the time Korea receives our paperwork til a referral, so it should be coming up soon!

Our homestudy has been sent to 'immigration"(?) and waiting for the fingerprint appointment. There should be a 'twiddle the thumbs" emote-icon!!

OK, I really have no clue about the process, so does that mean that once your paperwork gets to Korea that you could have a baby in 6-8 weeks? I'm sure this is a stupid ?? but I really have no clue

Karen, I hear ya about spending money. I'm getting good at that too! Also, I just got three hefty bags jam packed with baby clothes (hand me downs) from my sisters, some with tags! It's getting very real!
Stacy, your question is not stupid. I'm just so absorbed in the whole process that it's hard for me to remember that other people aren't in my world. To answer your question, the fingerprint clearance I am waiting for can take up to ten weeks to be sent to me (they're running slow over at immigration lately.) Then they have to process my paperwork over in Korea and then I have to wait another 6-8 weeks for a referral (which is when they match you with a child and let you see the picture/read about the background). Then, 6-8 weeks after that is "Gotcha Day" where I will go to JFK to pick up my baby! So, I wish that meant my baby will be home in 6 - 8 weeks; but it's more like 6 months if I'm lucky.
