Just an FYI..re:blood donation
I went to donate platelets today and was unable to donate because my iron was too low. When I mentioned to the technician that I was TTC, but not yet pregnant, she said she was glad I told her because she wouldnt have let me donate even if my levels were ok. I am sure some of you already knew this but for those who didnt, I figured you may want to know.

Did she tell you why you can't donate when you are TTC? I am supposed to donate on 8/28??

She didnt say that I couldn't but on the off chance that I was prego or was about to become prego, she felt that a loss of blood wouldnt exactly be a good thing. Then again, she was not a doctor, but I would ask yours just to be safe.
