Just checking in...
to see how everyone is doing. I haven't been around as much lately, I have been busy and trying to stay that way.
As for an update on me, I am gearing myself up mentally to go see Dr B sometime after our much delayed honeymoon at the end of March. It also seems that I've been subconsciously trying to convince myself that now isn't a good time for us to have children as a defense mechanism to not get hurt again. I'm completely aware of it, it's my diagnosis and not a shrink's. I've also been trying to convince myself that once we have one healthy, wonderful child we shouldn't try for more, again, to spare myself the pain of a m/c. This is my 2nd month since the last m/c that I am not temping because I obsess too much and I need to stay sane.
I hope everyone is doing well!

Re: Just checking in...
I've read so many good stories about Dr. B, so I hope that you do go see him and that he can give you some answers.
I feel the same way about having more children. I keep telling DH that if this baby is born healthy to us, that this will be it for us, as I can't emotionally go through all of this anxiety again. So I know how you feel

Re: Just checking in...
Chrissi,
I think it's good to just try and relax and not obsess over all the tests. I know I can go crazy with all opk, cd, poas, 2 ww.
I think it will be good to see a RE and maybe you can run some of the basic tests at first and see if anything is off. They can also run the Recurring miscarriage Panel.
I think I have putting up a defensive mechanism too, for why "now is not my time". Just remember it is our time!!!! We just that we have to work a little harder to get there.
Goodluck to you!!!!

Re: Just checking in...
How you are feeling is normal. I think we all do things psychologically as defense mechanisms. I think you are doing the right thing seeing Dr. B. I was going to just try again and not even bother seeing him. Im glad I did though because now I know what the issue is and I can go into my next cycle with a plan.
I have to admit, knowing now that there is an issue and all of this wasnt just for "no reason" actually makes me feel better. And I know this is going to sound cliche but God cant help those who dont help themselves. Im beginning to realize that God has been trying to give me a gift that I just wasnt able to accept and that ultimately it was up to me to make myself ready.
Maybe that makes no sense but its my rationale and Im sticking to it!!
Good luck going forward!! I hope you go to Dr. B and can get some answers!!!

I think I'm going to ask him to run this panel. If there's something seriously wrong then I want to know it now rather than waiting longer.

I think that's a wise decision you are making. It's always better to be on the safe side and to have all the information necessary to move on. Lots of luck to you.
