Just curious Re: A Baby Story
I was just curious if we ever had an LIF'er on A Baby Story or Bringing Home Baby. Or if anyone ever looked into it. If so what's involved? I don't have any desire to to it, I'm just junkie and have been since I was first PG with DS so I was just wondering what its all about.

I know someone from here (not a big poster) who was picked, but if I remember correctly the hospital didnt allow it.
A family friend was ON the show! It was really funny to watch  If you want, I can contact her to find out what she had to do.
From what I've heard, you need to have an interesting story or something unique to be picked.

I wonder the same thing! I would prob like to do it with a second or third child, but being pregnant for the first time is so new that I would not want to add that to the mix!

My best friend was on A Baby Story - I was in the episode too making a fool of myself.  
She did it when she was pg with her second child... they just emailed the show and were picked. I think her DH wrote a good story, not so sure. In fact, now that I think about it another one of their friends was also on the show.

Do you know details? Like how long they tape? Do they get anything for being on the show? I know my DR was on it before he was an infertility specialist he was on as an OB and his patient had MS (multiple sclorosis)and he said they totally made her look like a complainer etc and said nothing about the ms even tho she was doing it to show you could have ms and still have baby. Guess its all about ratings.

I love that show...but could not imagine being on it!!! Who knows how your labor is going to go! I def would not want that part of me to be on TV!!!

That was filmed at Winthrop (it was the second time a baby story was filmed there). I remember because I worked there at the time. There was signs all over L&D about who to contact if she were to show up in labor( a hospital official had to allow the camera crew not us).

If I wasn't so shy I would do it. My life is kind of boring so they wouldn't pick me anyway.
In fact, I wrote a letter a while ago but never sent it. I didn't have my DH's blessing.
