Just did my first lupron injection....
...and I am okay!!  It wasn't nearly as bad as I aniticpated. Drawing the lupron into the syringe wasn't difficult and the needle was very similar to the gonal-f.
I just noticed that my lupron box says 14 day kit (with 14 syringes), but according to my IVF calendar, I will be on it for about 20 days. What do I do? Also, do you continue to take lupron while you're stimming? According to my calendar, it looks that way.

It's a 14 day kit, but you are probably on a much lower dose than a normal lupron dose. I'm usually on it for about 20 days as well, and always have left over. Once you start stims, they should lower your doseage. You'll be fine!

Thanks for the info!
I am 10 units a day for a bit.
What do I do when I run out of needles that are prepackaged with the kit? Do I have to use other needles that were included in my shipment of meds?

You'll definately be fine! I was on 15 units and when I started stimming went down to 5.
You can call the pharmacy and let them know you need more needles, they will send them to you.

Yeah!!!!
I realized I was going to run out of needles and my dr gave me a prescription which I brought into CVS to fill. They ended up giving me 20 needles (I think) b/c they only came in bags of 10 and weren't allowed to open them. I don't think I even paid $5 for them... though I really didn't like them- I felt the plunger didn't move as easily- so then my mail order pharmacist sent some to me which were better. HTH!
