Just finished The Pelican Brief (*Spoilers!)

I just finished The Pelican Brief. I thought it was pretty good (gave it 4 stars on Good Reads lol) and that the characters were well developed (which I really appreciate...I hate empty characters!).

I thought the whole Rupert thing was obvious, and I wish they would have done a bit more with him, because it just seemed silly to have him there. I also was NOT a fan of the whole dramatic, beachy, romantic ending.

Anyone else read this recently? Any other Grisham books you would recommend?

I read it so many years ago, I couldn't even tell you what it was about at this point! I've read every John Grisham book, even though they are all the same at this point. They all have the same plot...idealistic young lawyer going against a big firm/corporation/government etc....but I would read a Time to Kill and the Firm....imo after you read those, you'll see they are pretty much all the same! But I still read him, cause they are quick & easy!

I've read them all and with the exception of The Chamber liked them all.

His most recent The Confession and The Associate were among his best.

Of his older novels, I liked A Time to Kill and The Rain Maker.

Enjoy....I spent one summer reading several of them!
