Just found a small mouse in my apt

DH and I were in bed when we here the cats in the living room running around. DH gets up and investigates and says there is a frog in the apt.

Our two cats had cornered it under one of the heating vents. Well when we moved a box that was blocking it, it turned out to be a little mouse. OMG how disgusting.

I have absolutely no idea how this thing got into our apt. We do leave the screen door open to our balcony, but the thing is we are on the 2nd floor.
Only other way I think it could have possibly gotten in was when we were bringing groceries in this weekend.

I dont think I can sleep now.

Mice CAN scale walls, so just b/c you are on the 2nd floor, doesn't mean a mouse can't come in that way.
