Just found out an old friend died
I got an email from a mutual friend that this guy we were close to in high school died suddenly while coaching at Elmont HS. He was also a guidance counselor there. He was such an awesome person and actually is the reason I became a counselor. He told me of a scholarship that he got to St. John's and encouraged me to apply.
He was married and had two little kids- 4 and 7. I am so sad for his family.

I read about this in Newsday. How sad.
It was in Newsday? I guess since he was a counselor and coach. What a loss to the school as well.
