Just got an e-mail from my friends wife...
He was able to get his wife pregnant after trying for the first time (kill me!)
I wrote her an e-mail congratulate her a while ago...
Well I just got an e-mail back telling me that she feels great...no symtoms...just a little tired.
Is it terrible that I was happy to hear from her...wrote her back...but now feel a little empty?

Not terrible....completely normal. I am sure you are very happy for them, but what you are feeling is your own desire to be fufilled. Doesn't mean you are less happy for them, the emotions just all mix up into one big ball and unfortunately....the frustration you feel ttc, sometimes seems like the emotion on the forefront. Does that make sense ?

Re: Just got an e-mail from my friends wife...
I am not in the medical field. I am a kindergarten teacher who is now currently on leave. I have a lot of time on my hands and have experienced a lot on my ttc journey, so I just try to share what I have learned.
TTC brings out every emotion. I think 'guilt' is a major one. After watching the slideshow I posted on the infertility board, it really hit home. Sometimes we are made to feel 'selfish' but it's "self preserverance" that we need in order to continue on in this journey. I think the mere fact that you are able to reflect on your feelings , shows such emotional strength.

I agreee with this. There's no need to feel guilty about the way you feel. Emotions are running high and hearing good news from others just makes the frustration that much more. Your day will come, and you'll be a great mom.
Stay Strong!!!!
