just got back from registering and my mind is spinning!
I am only 15 weeks, but since I will be going back home for 6 weeks, I think a shower will be thrown now.
DH won't be around, and I did not want to leave him out of the registering part, so we went today.
We went to Babies R Us, they did not have some of the stuff I want, but we got a couple of things.

registering is very streeful. I went with DH at first and it turned into a nightmare.
I went back a week later with my friend who has 2 kids and she was such a GREAT help.
She told me what to get and what NOT to get.

BRU online has a list of things to start you off. DH and I did one thing at a time. Like, one night we went JUST to find a stroller. We found out, registered for it and left. Then the next time we did the pack n play. I had to do it this way,. it was WAY too overwhelming to do it all at once. Once the big stuff was done, I went with my friend and registered for bottles, crib toys, etc.

it can be a chore, no?...so overwhelming....we went a few days to do it b/c I would get overloaded - it starts out fun but then you're thinking about actually caring for the baby and all you need and all and, all of a sudden I would just need to leave...we went online to add more stuff and also registered at 2 places since each had stuff we liked (bbb and bru!)
good for you for starting so early!! HAVE FUN!
