Just got back from the RE (good and bad news)
Okay, so the good news is that because of the clomid I am producing two follicules on both sides of my ovaries. One was 12 mm and the other was 13mm. Bad news is that she is concerned about my lining and doesn't recommend me taking clomid for the next cycle that is if I don't get PG this cycle. My lining right now is 6mm and she said it should be 7. I should be oing by Monday and I may even get a trigger shot Monday morning. I've never had two follicules growing..stupid question does this mean I have a greater chance of having twins? also doesn't your lining grow closer to ovulation? I'm so scared, if I do get pg I want to make sure it's viable...but with the lining...i'm not sure.

Re: Just got back from the RE (good and bad news)
Congrats on the follicles. There is always a risk of multiples when you have more than one follicle but it's not all that likely.
As far as your lining, are you taking progesterone??? You should be.

She hasn't prescribed it to me. do you think I should call her and tell her I should take it? progesterone helps with your lining? sorry for all the questions and thank you for responding.

Re: Just got back from the RE (good and bad news)
progesterone should help build up your lining. You will probably get precribes supplementary progesterone or progesteron in oil(by injection) I know some Dr's give progesterone pills and advise you to use them as suppositories. problem with supplementary progesterone is that it will not show in your blood stream so to test your lining you may need an endometrial biopsy. how did she know how thick your lining was?

Re: Just got back from the RE (good and bad news)
Exactly, they measure your lining when they do the U/S - Clomid has a tendency to thin out linings, that's one of the reasons it's not used for a long term thing (along with the high risk of cysts). You have almost a week for your lining to thicken so they are probably going to just monitor you. When are you going back? If necessary, they may give you suppositories but you should be okay. Two follicles does increase the risk of twins, but as Kara said, it's not likely.

Re: Just got back from the RE (good and bad news)
wow..I didn' know about this lining thing. Mine was only 6mm, and I had two larger follies. 15mm, and 17mm. They didn't say anything about the size of lining being a problem, they are just monitoring me, and waiting for me to get +OPK.
Hmm...do I need to be concerned?

Thanks, I'm going back on Monday morning. If I don't surge over the weekend the RE will most likely give me a trigger shot.

Re: Just got back from the RE (good and bad news)
When my doctor was concerned that my progesterone was low he gave me progesterone suppositories.
Good luck.
