Just gotta share!! Re: Christmas Cards, and Family
About 9 months ago, Mom had to go to a nursing home; She likes it there, her girlhood friend is there, and it seems she's finding out she has a talent in painting!!! Fancy that!!! She's almost 83!!!! Anyway, moving a Parent to a nursing home has many challenges, and I felt one family member was upset with me, but never said why. I sent a Christmas Card, and I received a beautiful card, and gift, which both surprised me and made me cry. It said, "We love you very much!!" Then, today, I was really shocked!!!! I received another Christmas Card, from a first Cousin/Wife, who I never hear from!!! Also, another card, from another first Cousin... we have exchanged cards, but this time he wrote a very nice note. I don't have a big family, and some of the family I have, have never been close, and I've always desired to have a relationship with them. When I was a child, my Mom instilled the importance of family, but as I grew older, it seemed everyone went his/her way, never to be heard from again, except at a funeral. So, I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, that THE LORD has blessed me with hearing from my family members !!!! Thanks for listening!!!! Mary

Thank you, "Sissy". It was an adjustment intially, but now she doesn't want to leave. Her sociial worker put her name on an assisted living list, but the home has only just begun to be built; By the time it's finished, Mom's assisted living criteria might change. I was astonished when I saw the pic of the poinsettia on her shelf!!! I asked if it was a paint by number, and Mom said she painted it freehand, by looking at a picture. I want to give her some pictures, and see what she can do with them!!!  Mary
