Just Had Another Interview
I thought it went really well, but then again I thought the one I went on two weeks ago went well too and I didn't get that. You just never know what they're looking for. Strangely, the principal asked me if I'd leave my portfolio with her to look more thoroughly at it and come and get it tomorrow. I was dying beause I live in eastern LI and this was in Queens. When she realized where I live she told me she'd call me tomorrow and we can meet near where she lives on LI. That was nice!

Lots of luck! I think that's promising she's willing to meet with you outside of school to return your portfolio!
I take my binder with me and have an online portfolio. The link is on my resume so they can access it from their if they'd like. It ties in nicely to the whole technology thing.

Thank you! The link is on my resume and I always make sure to point it out on interviews. It's scaled down from my actual portfolio binder, but most of it is there. I wasn't sure if it was being looked at or not, but this week I had an interview where the committee each had a print out version of my website.

Google Sites.
Helpful piece of advice..make sure you write down your username/password and DO NOT lose it, haha. After an interview last week where I left them with the link to my portfolio, I went home to update my references and could not log on for anything. I tried for an hour and nothing. Thank goodness for my boyfriend who said to try logging on from my desktop in case it saved my info. I had been trying on my desktop and then realized it is my LAPTOP that saved all my login info for websites. Finally got it and updated it...and then wrote that info down!

Hi,
Nope, even better! District 25 and I didn't get this one either(I was praying and SUPER excited when I got the interview). I give up. They seem to go SOOO well, I feel I give them everything and thensome and then bam, they pick someone else. I feel like this is Long Island! Did you find anything?
PS. The principal went as far as keeping my portfoilio, meeting me the next evening near her home on LI...asked to meet my family, they were in the car and then says sorry but I did pick a different candidate. I challenged her and said may I ask you what this person had that I didn't for my own self reflection. Her reply, "well, she did know about curriculum mapping(she never even asked me this question on my interview) AND did know two languages.". This is not much of a Bilingual school, I don't get it!!!
