Just landed a new job at a year-round school!
I'm due to go back to school on 8/17, but I interviewed at a year-round school yesterday and they called me today to offer me the position 
It's a pretty sweet deal. Our summer vacation is 4 weeks long instead of 8, but we get 2 weeks off in October, 3 weeks for holiday break and 2 weeks for Spring Break.
I start next week! They have been in session since 7/25, but they are adding a new 5th grade class.

Unfortunately, no  She didn't have an openings for me. But this principal is actually the one who hired me my first year in NC, but then was subsequently transferred to this new school immediately after.
I'm excited about it. The NC schools don't get a February break (or any of the Jewish holidays), so there are some LOOOOONG stretches in our calendar. I think this will be a nice change
