Just need to vent for a minute--Child care related
Okay, so I know the twins are A LOT of work! I live with them every day! MY MIL who begged to watch them once a week while I went back to work is now looking to bag out or hire someone to help her out.
I am just a little annoyed because I could have been looking for someone all month. Now with 3 weeks until school starts she calls up to complain about the stroller, how big they are, and how maybe we could hire her a mother's helper. Not for nothing, but why am I going to pay some one to keep you company when I could hire someone who will come to my house?
I am just a little annoyed!

I know its a little annoying. My mil watched first ds and said that she would watch both after second was born. Unfortunatly she didn't tell us until right before I was going back to work that she wouldn't be able to do it at all. Try to think of some benifits of having a mothers helper there, You won't have a stranger watching them alone in your house, you would always have a set of hands available to tend to both of your children, I'm sure there could be others but those are just 2 off the top of my head. Hope this helps.

Mel,
That is an interesting way to look at it! However, if I pay someone to be with MIL, then how do I not pay someone to be with my mom? Then, if I am paying all of these people, what is the purpose of not having a full time nanny?
