just saw "The Black Dahlia"
and must admit i was disspapointed.
too many characters, and too many story lines to follow. and in hte end although htey explained everything i feel they didnt explain it in depth enough.
it was also way too fake and hollywoodesque......
and the music was horrible.
jmo.
anyone else see it? comments?
i'd see it again, but this time to pay more attention to toehr characters i wasnt today.
all in all its a sad to me because in REAL life the murder was never solved.... while in this hollywood production of course the main character figures it out.....
may hte real victim rest in peace

It got only 1 star in People Magazine. I had a feeling it wasn't going to be that great. I would be more impressed if they found her real killer. It's such a sad story. I read the book years ago.

it got A- in the Onion. i was going to see it regaurdless becaus ei relaly like an actor in it, Mia Kirshner who plays the victim..... but i wish it was done differently

I was invited to go see it tomorrow. I told my friend "Maybe".
I was listening to the advertisement in the car and almost got sick. When it comes on TV I have to change the channel.
I dont know if its a pregnancy thing, but, I just cannot handle it. I literally gag (sorry tmi)...I even got sick with the whole Glen Cove murder story..
I feel bad I told my friend no, but, I dont think I couldve sat throught it.
I have a feeling a lot of people may see it though.

its actually not bad at all, they barely show the body. no close ups, only far away shots of it... and only like 2 or 3...
i actually said to dh "they barely even showed the body"
and there was really no murder scene

I wanted to see it until I heard them panning it yesterday on the radio saying it was a huge dissapointment - I guess I will wait for it to come out on video
