Just tried the Answer OPK
I bought it on my way home from work (thanks for mentioning it, Cathy!) and tried it about 10 minutes ago.
My purple line is slightly lighter than the test line, so I should be ready to O in the next few days.
Showed DH the stick, explained it to him and told him to rest up, cause we're gonna be really busy (and tired!!)

Re: Just tried the Answer OPK
I've just used my 4th OPK stick, and my line still looks the same: not too faint, but not as dark as the test line.
I don't know what this means.....
We've been BDing just in case....

Re: Just tried the Answer OPK
Hi - What CD are you? Also, the reason it could be light is because you aren't supposed to use OPKs in the morning. The instructions tell you that you should not use FMU and also that you should take the test between 12noon and 8pm. I usually take mine at 2pm. Re take a test today around 2pm and see what happens.

The first 3 tests were done about 10 pm, and the line looked the same as this morning. I'm at CD 14. If these darn things weren't so expensive I wouldn't mind taking it often. $12 for a box of 7 is a bit much....

Re: Just tried the Answer OPK
Take a look at the instructions...I believe 10pm is way too late to use OPKs and 9am is way too early.
You can buy the Internet cheapies online at www.fertilinet.com I've used those the last few months and was able to tell when I'm ovulating.
I think the thing to do here is retest at about 2 or 3pm today and see what happens. It's really really important to use the OPKs when the instructions tell you to. I think the reason you're not getting a darker line is you're using them at the wrong time.
Have you been charting at all? Have you noticed changes in CM?

Re: Just tried the Answer OPK
How long is your cycle typically??
Just to add that I did get some "almost positive" around cycle days 13 and 14 this month..then pure negatives then a positive on day 17 I think..so you really need to keep testing to be sure.

I'll re-read the instructions. I do have a tendency to skim over. Tried charting, but don't think i was doing it right. I have noticed changes in CM, so that's what I've been going by.
thanks!!!

Re: Just tried the Answer OPK
Good luck!! You can always try BDing every day and then when your CM is egg-white like, BD every day until your CM dries up. Once it dries up that means you have O'd.
