Just when I loose faith in management...they give me an award
Some days I wonder why do I even get out of bed to go to the office. I give 110%, get beat up and dragged through the mud and wonder does it even make a difference. And then today I get the Navigator Award. It's a little award in the company that someone can give to you for going above and beyond. You get a monetary reward as well as lunch out with the executive director, COO, and call center manager.
Here's what was sent via email to everyone in the company:
I would like to present the Navigator award to someone in the center, that has been moved around continuously and yet just roles with the punches. She was hired to work Tuesday through Saturday, was night supervisor for customer service department for nights. Not only did we take her out of her role as night supervisor to put her in a department she had no clue how it operated, took her off nights and changed her schedule to a Monday- Friday. And as if that was not enough moving we then asked her to work six days because our 24/7 service was not yet available.
With no travel experience at all, in just 3 short months she has not only learned the travel business, but has become my back up for groups, cruises and tours. Melissa has picked up some of the groups from Carlos when he left, some of which were in disarray and worked through the problems. For all of this I would like to say thanks Melissa you do a wonderful job. I actually went on vacation and new I would come back and things would be just fine in the group department and they were. It’s nice to have you working the department with me.
