She actually did the commercials to help raise funds for her brothers foundation.
As part of the launch, Cat’s Pride is partnering with award-winning actress Katherine Heigl, best known for her roles in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “27 Dresses” and “Knocked Up,” as the face and voice of the integrated marketing campaign. The campaign includes TV, print, digital and radio advertising. In addition, Cat’s Pride is proud to support The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation by donating a portion of every Fresh & Light Ultimate Care purchase to support the foundation’s animal advocacy work.
Another statement
Heigl doesn’t appear to have signed up with Cat’s Pride for the money however. Rather, it looks to be at least partly an effort to raise funds for the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, set up by the Heigl family to help eliminate animal cruelty in memory of Jason Heigl, who was killed in an car accident. Noted Katherine Heigl: “We created the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation to continue to spread Jason’s love of animals.” A portion of every Cat’s Pride Fresh and Light Ultimate Care purchase will go to the Foundation, according to the Oil-Dri Corporation of America, the Chicago-based parent of Cat’s Pride.

It's not just that she said something 10 years ago - she's apparently a huge b@#% to people on set, even today - that's what makes me dislike her.
But attitude aside, she looks really good here. Especially in the first photo.

Didn't she say something bad about the movie knocked up totally knocking it, when that's was sort of made her famous? I think something bad about the director or co workers.

I can't stand her either. Any actor/actress that leaves a major tv show because they think they are too big or to good for it annoys me. She knocked Grey's when she left, she bad mouthed a few of the movies she was in and the rumor is that is a major B on set.
I still can't watch David Caruso since he left NY Blue and yes I know it was many years ago and I should get over it lol : ).
