Katie Holmes' $200k Spree
2006 was kind to Katie Holmes, but less kind to the actress' credit card statement. According to a source, Tom Cruise's bride, 28, did $200,000 worth of damage at the Beverly Hills Barneys New York store last year alone.
In fact, Holmes – who shopped for shoes there last January, spent $400 on two pairs of jeans in April and left with five bags’ worth of baby clothes for daughter Suri in November.
Who has the time for all that shopping? She does. Holmes often asks the store to stay open for her after hours, the insider says.
“She walks around with a personal shopper and points at what she wants,” the source says. “She orders different colors and a few of each. She’s their favorite customer!”
(Holmes’ publicist denies the special treatment, while a Barneys rep says, “We never have been asked to open a store for Katie Holmes after closing hours.”)

What's so shocking about that?  It's easy to drop $400 on 2 pairs of jeans! Hell, it's easy to drop that on 1 pair! 
Hey, if they've got the money, they might as well enjoy it! I know I would!!!!

I might be crazy to say this- but I don't think $200K is all that much for her to spent in a year there
it's less then $20K a month- and she is always there-
if I was married to that wacko I would have spent way more then that

I agree. It seems like it is the only place she shops. I would have guessed more!

Me too! It's not like she's spending $200k at the Gap - it's Barney's. If I had it, I could DEFINITELY spend that much and more in a year.

I've gotta say, and I think I'm alone here, if I had millions of dollars, I still wouldn't spend 200K a year on freakin' clothes.
