Katie Holmes Punished!
On March 11, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise arrived at Beverly Hills High School in separate cars — his coming straight from the Scientology Celebrity Centre in Hollywood. And even though they sat together in the bleachers watching his son Connor's basketball game, the couple — who've previously proven to be pros when it comes to putting on a good face — couldn't have looked less happy. Katie frowned and clung to their daughter, Suri, while Tom sulked and stared into space. And they were boxed in by Tom's family! His watchful mother, Mary Lee South, and cousin, actor William Mapother (In the Bedroom), sat directly below them. "Both Tom and Katie looked absolutely miserable," an eyewitness tells Star. "I think they were definitely furious with each other."
LOSING CONTROL?
Yes, there's trouble, and sources say it's because Katie, 28, has started asserting herself too much for her husband's taste! First, she signed on to star in Mad Money, which starts filming in April in Shreveport, La., halfway across the country from the couple's Beverly Hills home. And, of course, she plans to take the baby with her, which doesn't please Tom one bit. "Tom probably feels that Katie has drifted from the path," explains a source. As a result, the source says, Tom is asking her to get "retrained in the ways of Scientology." Given the rigors of the religion's retraining programs, sources say this is a grueling time for the Toledo, Ohio, native.

RE: the second part...welll, he's just crazy, isn't he???? In the beginning he was all 'she's such a beautiful, intelligent, independent woman' and now he's just trying to beat it out of her.
BUT, I don't think the first part is particularly fair - we all have arguments with our other halves, which sometime happen just before or on the way to an event that we're meant to attend - I don't think I can even count the number of times I showed up at my MIL's less than thrilled with DH!!!
