Katz hospital obgyn recommendations
Hi! Can you please recommend your North Shore LIJ Katz hospital affiliated obgyn? And please let me know the bedside manner and positives/negatives about them?

I used to use Dr Lauren Bashian in Bellmore(delivered my DD ) but I've since switched to a practice affiliated with North Shore Manhasset. She's a great doctor but the wait times are insane. The longest I waited at an OB appointment was 3+ hours also there is no guarantee that her or her partner will deliver you since they have covering doctors from another practice (2 other practices actually ), but she is a great OB if you don't mind waiting.

Katz hospital obgyn recommendations
Dr. Kuno in Great Neck. He has always gotten back to me when i have left messages and is an overall cool guy. The wait time is between 10-15 minutes tops and the office staff is efficient. He delivered my first and will be delivering my second.

I use women for women obgyn. Dr. Bell is my primary doctor but there are 5 drs and 1 np im the office. The wait times are good and overall everybody is really nice in the office.

Another vote for Women for Women! They deliver at LIJ Katz in New Hyde Park. Their office is literally next door to the hospital on Lakeville Road.

Katz hospital obgyn recommendations
I use Valerie Altmann from the Ann and Jules Gotleib Womens Health Center on Northern Blvd in Manhasset. I will be delivering in the next week or two at LIJ in New Hyde Park. Dr Altmann has been my OB/GYN for over 6 years now and shes a wonderful woman with a nice bedside manner. She's friendly (but very professional) and exudes competance. A few times over 6 years I have waited too long for my appt, but on average you will wait about 15 minutes to see her. She does work in a group...there are 5 or 6 OB/GYNs total, so you may not end up with her the day you deliver. I believe shes at the hospital 3 days/week....
