Keep my gym membership or buy a treadmill?
I'm not sure if I should even bother keeping my gym membership since I find myself just going there to jog most of the time. I do other exercises on my own outside of the gym and own a decent amount of my own exercise equipment, including kettlebells and a bowflex.
Should I even bother keeping my gym membership ($40/month) or should I just take that money and invest in a treadmill?
Also, any treadmill recommendations are welcome. FYI- I really don't want to spend over $600.
Thanks!

You need to know your personality & schedule...while a PITA, I can't get a good workout in/uninterrupted unless I get away from my house.
Also something to consider is repair cost & you'll want a good sturdy one.

True. I worry that if I don't actually leave my house and drag myself there that I won't actually do it, but on the flip side I feel like I'll be more apt to exercise on my own if its a matter of just going down to my basement rather than getting dressed, leaving the house, etc.
I'm so confused

I need to get out....kids, phone etc....I just need that break away mentally
I don't know the current cost of treadmills, but I would test them prior....some are really cheap & actually vibrate when you run. Not something I'd be able to run on. Plus the maintenance might be high because it needs lubing, cleaning, eventually new belts/timing. (but again I've never owned my own, just going off of what people tell me & my experience managing gyms)

It really depends on if you use other machines besides the treadmill or not, and how much time you have to devote to going to a gym. I personally just have a treadmill in my home because I don't use any other machines that the gyms offer, and I don't like the fact that other people sweat all over them. Also, I don't have much time to spend at a gym and away from the kids so this way I don't have to travel and spend time at a gym, I can easily hop on the treadmill while the kids are home with me and still stay in shape!
