Keeping cats from nursery
How do you prevent your cats from going into the nursery w/o closing the door?
Do you use an extra high gate to prevent the cats from jumping into the room? I'm debating about getting this and wonder if it's going to work.

I don't. They've never bothered it much but occasionally I have found my black cat napping on the changing pad.

Re: Keeping cats from nursery
my bff has the PERFECT solution for this, and we're now doing it too...she took down the door for her babys nursery, and put up a screen door (an indoor one) this way, you can see in all the time, the babys not closed in, and the cat cant get in and out..she closes it behind her when she brings her in to change and feed and go to bed, every minute of the day that door is closed, but really..its kinda open, so its nice for the baby ;) i think this is great!!

I keep the door closed - otherwise nothing keeps them out - they jump gates.

Same here. Sometimes we find them on the changing pad napping or on the chair napping. Either way, we don't mind and they never bother to go near ds so we're not worried.

Same here. Sometimes I catch her walking around in there, but in 11 months she has never hung out in DD's room.

same here. I have found them sleeping in DD's cribs so the door closed is the only way.

Re: Keeping cats from nursery
I don't keep my cat out, except at night when DS is sleeping.
During the day, his door is open and my kitty has free range. But then again, she has never jumped into his crib. All she has done is gone up on his changing table to take a nap!

Re: Keeping cats from nursery
We have an extra high gate which he can't jump over. It works really well for us.
