Kelly Clarkson and the Pope, the unusual celebration...
This was the headline on preview for Channel 2 news.
There's just something wrong with that sentence.

I was at the Papal rally today in Yonkers. There was entertainment for about 4 hours before the Pope arrived and she was one of the entertainers. It was a rally with mainly high school and college students so they loved that she was there.
She then sang, in my opinion, a horrendous version, of Schubert's Ave Maria during the prayer service with the Pope. As someone that sings, and church music in particular, I was appalled at her poor Latin pronunciation. You would think that if were singing in front of the POPE you would make sure it was impeccable. I just hope it sounded better on TV.

I didn't see the news story. I moved onto watching Sixteen Candles.
Apparently, I made the right choice!
