Kendra Wilkinson Is 'Done' with Marriage to Hank Baskett: Source
The stress of her marital issues may be weighing on Kendra Wilkinson on the inside, but on the outside it's business – well, pleasure – as usual.
Just weeks after news broke of Wilkinson's husband Hank Baskett's alleged affair with a transsexual model, the Kendra on Top star, 29, left her wedding ring at home and club-hopped with friends.
"They were celebrating a girlfriend's birthday," an onlooker tells PEOPLE of Wilkinson, who started her night at the W Hotel in Hollywood before moving on to Hemingway's and then Warwick. "She wasn't on the prowl, but she was open to talking to guys and just having fun."
Wilkinson, who gave birth to daughter Alijah in May, was spotted at Warwick with its owner as well as a male companion, whom a source says is strictly a platonic pal.
"Kendra was laughing and dancing with her group of friends," another onlooker tells PEOPLE. "Everyone was having a great time."
But appearances can be deceiving.
"Hank and Kendra are on speaking terms, but she's still so mortified by the situation. [The cheating] happened before, but she's done [with the marriage]. It's more about the kids and the finances now," says an insider. "She's an optimistic person and wants people to know she's doing better, which is why she's going out."
And while the insider says Wilkinson is eager for supporters to know that she is doing well, she is not necessarily looking forward to airing her dirty laundry on her WE tv reality show.
"They're contractually obligated and are in the middle of filming," says the insider. "But she doesn't want people talking about it for the rest of her life. She just wants to move forward."
