Kent Animal Shelter in Calverton Needs YOUR Help!
I am a new volunteer for the Kent Animal Shelter in Calverton, we need volunteers for the upcoming canine classic 5/17 or the Special Olympics 5/4
So far they only have two volunteers for the Special Olympics.
The more the merrier.
Classic Canine Event: Even if you cannot volunteer that day, we need donations for the Chinese auction which will take place at the event.
All monies go to Kent and other east end animal shelters.
Donations can be dropped off at the shelter.
Also, your dog does not need to be an all breed animal to enter this event.
Go to Cutchogue Canine Classic to read about the doggie contests and download an application.
Vendors are also needed for the event.
If anyone is interested, please post here or FM me.

I'm not sure specifically what they're looking for but I have someone else who's interested and I told them, donate whatever you can. I don't think they would turn it away, though I'm sure they're not looking for people's garage sale junk. KWIM?

ETA: In the meantime, I'm going to ask the voluteer organizer and see if I could get a better idea of what they're looking for!

casll the aqurium in riverhead they have baskets for things like this. if you can not get any where let me know i will get it.
as for help what day of the week is it? let me know thanks janet
ets: i just looked at the link it is a saturday and i will not be able to help due to work butlike i said call the river head aqurium and i will do what i can to help there.

Anything specific you are looking for the auction items? Does it have to be pet related?
I have a TON of things I can donate...and not crap either!!

Oh yay, this means I get to meet you and Katie! How exciting!!!
I will be there, but I'm afraid, Arnold will most likely be home.
I won't be able to volunteer and take care of him at the same time and DH has been working Saturdays so he won't be able to take him.
It will be so nice to meet those of you from here who are going! I think I may post an update with a list of those going. Maybe this could work out to be a mini GTG!
