Kiddie Kandids...
What a waste of my time. I really wanted to take some Easter pics & maybe a "wings" picture... The woman was like "well, MAYBE you can do both- if we have enough time" W-T-F...I'm paying you! (and there was only one person behind us- who just arrived).
Alex was doing ok at first, but she's not even 3 months old, it takes her some time to warm up to a new face. It probably would have helped if someone came w/ me so I could go in front of her & make her smile, but no one can ever go w/ me during the week. The woman just didn't even want to try, our session lasted less than 5 minutes. Maybe it was just that woman, b/c I've heard pretty good things about them. Screw this, I'm taking them myself!

Re: Kiddie Kandids...
Wow...I always thought they were great & so patient and always recommend them. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience.
I would write a complaint to them: Kiddie Kandids - Complaint form

Re: Kiddie Kandids...
I would complain. I recently used them and they were very patient with my son. They said you are allowed 4 poses (using 4 different props) - I would up doing only 3 since my son wasn't in the cooperating mood. But they did their best to make him laugh and smile - my son just wasn't having it - they bordered on the too over the top and my son is more into being mellow and simple things to make him smile. But the girls did work hard and were very nice and patient.

Wow I'm surprised you had a problem with them, I've been to them now 3 times and each time I never had a problem. They are always so friendly to us and took there time to make sure each picture came out just right. I would go back again and just explain to them what happened when you were there, maybe next time you will have a better experience. The pictures really do come out soooo cute!

I have loved them every time I go, and they ahve alwasy taken the time needed to get boht of my boys to smile at the same time. I would complain and maybe try anohter one, which one did you go to? I go to the one in Bohemia.
I am sorry you were not happy with them.

Re: Kiddie Kandids...
I know, I was surprised too, considering all the great reviews they got. I'm sure it was just this woman, but the experience just left me w/ a bad taste in my mouth.
Can I ask which location you all went to? This was the Commack one.

The one I loved was the Commack one. Seriously complain about her. We don't need someone with an attitude photographing our kids. It's stressful enough getting my kids there. I wanted to go for Easter pictures.

It's not that she had a horrible attitude or was MEAN, she just made me feel SO rushed, and didn't even let me try to get Alex laughing for a few minutes.

That's horrible. When I brought my kids there, they patiently waited while I got them naked (as babies obviously) changed their clothes into a completely different outfit.

Re: Kiddie Kandids...
I think it was definitely an issue with the photographer. I would complain to a manager and they'll probably give you a session with a more experienced/patient photographer, along with some free prints. You should never have to feel rushed while getting pictures taken.

So sorry you had a bad experience. I've been to KK 3x already and don't know why I keep trying again, I just never have a good experience. So your not alone, but you should defintitely complain and try some other places too!

Re: Kiddie Kandids...
I go to the Commack one and have always thought they were great. But I did go in February and the woman was not as great. I think she was new b/c the others were helping her out alot (it was empty so they gave me alot of time)
was she 40ish, blond shoulder length hair? she wasn't listening to me, but the pictures did come out nice, so I wasn't too upset.
There is a girl who is younger (early/mid 20s) with hair that goes in different directions...on the petite side and she is AWESOME!!
