Kids and Behavioral Problems
I don't know what to do with my dd anymore. She is ADHD and I took her off her medicine for a couple of days to see how she would be and her teacher said she was basically out of control. She does NOT listen to me at all and does NOT know the word no. She CONSTANTLY bothers her brother which makes my house chaos ALL the time. The teacher said she is very smart and is doing wonderfully academic wise but her behavior is horrible. She is constantly interupting us at home AND in public and I am VERY embarasses all the time. I HATE to feel like this as she is my daughter but how much can I handle? I have had high blood pressure already from the stress. Thanks for listening to me vent!

What does her doctor say? Is it necessary for her to still be on the meds?

Re: Kids and Behavioral Problems
Awww...so sorry you have to go through this! Why did you decide to take her off the meds? I know nobody would want to have their child on meds but sometimes it's the only way. Were they not effective anymore? Does DD have any modifications in class? Maybe they can come up with a behavior plan (if they don't have one in place already). Have you tried a reward system with her at home? Sorry if you've already explored all of the things I am asking about. I just want to make sure you are covering all of the alternatives.
Hang in there!

Yes. I spoke with her teacher today and she highly recommends her staying on the meds as she is worse off of them.

No problem. I took her off because she said she felt better off of them and so I tried and her teacher said she was worse. She is not able to sit still and gets out of her seat in class and is constantly touching things. Since school is almost over, it is basically just getting through the next 2 weeks.
