Kids chair for the living room..anyone have one they recommend?
The couches we have are way too high for DS to get on and off of so I want to get him his own comfy chair to seat on that he can easily get on/off. I'm currently between these two, does anyone have either or recommend a different one? TIA
this one is a rocker: http://www.amazon.com/Harmony-Kids-Standard-Rocker-Chocolate/dp/B0045Y1448/ref=pd_sbs_ba_1
this one is a recliner: http://www.amazon.com/Harmony-Kids-Deluxe-Recliner-Choclolate/dp/B0045Y14DE/ref=pd_sbs_ba_5
(lets see if the pics post!) Image Attachment(s):

Re: Kids chair for the living room..anyone have one they recommend?
We got ours from Babys R Us. Looks like the top one. I did NOT want a recliner or a rocker. I was afraid of her getting her fingers stuck in levers, parts etc and didn't want her to fall back on a recliner.
Ironically I said this to my hubby and aunt (who bought it for her) and they thought I was being overly cautious. Then a little boy next to us was playing and BAM/SMACK he flew back. AJ has lounged on hers, climbed to the back of hers, stood on its arms and yes even slipped off once. But thankfully its never been the chair to go over.
I love ours!
ETA: On a side note, its wonderful for me cause I can sit her butt down and do her hair! LOL its not super heavy so I moved it back and forth as needed. Photo is old (2009) and from our old apt. It was her School costume for Halloween.

I would never buy a recliner for a child. Too many injuries can happen with the footrest area. Screws can fall out, etc.
I have the Pottery barn kids chair. DD loves it. You can get the larger one and it will last a long time, plus its light, easy to move, and cover can be washed.

This is definitely the kind I had in mind, I just couldn't seem to find it! Although I am a bit annoyed with BRU at the moment so I'm hoping I can find something like this elsewhere!

I agree I'm not really crazy about the idea of a recliner either, it just looks cute!

DS has a leather wingback chair, a bean bag and a fold out couch. The fold out couch is his favorite. I still want to get him the Pottery Barn anywhere chair. Friends have them and he cozier in them so cute. I think DH will kill me if I get another chair!
