Kids haircuts in Nassau
Sorry, I know this has been done before, but Ellie needs her first hair cut. Can you recommend places in Nassau? Has anyone been to Zippity Dos in Merrick? Good experience? Bad? Thanks!

ok thanks! I guess pricey I can handle b/c it's probably just once. I want to go to a kids place the first time. After that I can probably just take her with me to my hairdresser who's been dying to get her hands on those bangs for some time now

Re: Kids haircuts in Nassau
They gave him a little certificate and a little baggie to keep the hair. They had little car chairs and videos they can watch. The whole process took about 5 minutes since he was such a good boy. I didn't have any problems and his hair came out OK.
They are doing adults hair on the other side so it is not just dedicated to kids. It is hard to get them to sit still and it is loud in there. I guess it may be overwhelming for most babies!

Re: Kids haircuts in Nassau
Love Zippity Doos for the 1st haircut, but at $23 a head, it's ridiculous (IMO). I took both of my boys there once and it was almost $60 with the tip!! Crazy for a boys 'do!
I've had mixed experiences at Kidz Kuts in RF. It was always hit or miss for us.
Most recently, I was taking them to Hair Play in Levittown (Melbernai recommended them), but alas, I didn't like the last cut. Maybe I'm just hard to please.
DH just took our 3 year old to a barber in Bellmore and for $10 he got a great buzz cut. My little guy has beeeeautiful hair and I won't let a buzzer near it. I need to find a new place soon b/c he's starting to look like a girl.
Well, that wasn't much help, was it?
