Kind of a Spinoff on Makeup/Little Girls

I needed to get some cheap pants for my 7 month old DD because she's wearing 12 month sizes now and we had nothing that fit. So, I went to Target and Walmart assuming I'd just get some cheap knit pants and a couple pair of the twill pants or jeans.

Why are all the knit pants for baby girls STRETCH BOOTCUT? (like yoga pants?) Is it to make their legs look slimmer, which is what women tend to like about that cut? You could see just by holding a pair up to a pair of little pink jeans in the same size, that they were cut to be snugger fitting at the hips and thigh, just like boot cut stuff for adults. It would probably have been low rise too if their DIAPERS wouldn't show through! Come on, these are babies, not even school age girls! I don't know why, but something about the baby yoga pants just rubbed me the wrong way and I ended up getting adorable "roomy/comfy fit" knit pants at Carters Outlet instead.

Just a vent. Don't even know why that bothered me so much.

It is just the style and I think you are thinking waaaaay too much into it. My 16 month old has yoga pants just because I like them. OH, and she has super chunky legs and there is no slimming those puppies

could you imagine if the reason they made bootleg yoga pants for infants was to make their legs look thinner??
