kinda down... bad body image
Tomorrow is my DD christening and I had already bought an outfit for the event. I was gonna wear a nice shirt and pants... Well my mom said I should wear a dress... So today my mom said lets go to the gap and see if you can find a dress... Lets say I looked like a fat mess in everything... All I wanted to do was cry.... So now I am sticking with what I was gonna wear and feeling fat as ever... I just need some lifting up... Thanks ladies!!

Andrea I'm sure you will look beautiful, dont be so hard on yourself, I had Julia 2 years ago and I'm still working on loosing 20 lbs, its hard.

I have to be a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding in August....I am dreading going in to be fitted for the dress because I needed to lose 20 pounds before I got pregnant....now I need to lose 30 pounds to even get there!
The extra skin encircling my hip and waist area is so not what i was expecting!

I don't think anyone posted as many body issue posts as me!!!! I know how you feel - I had to go to an unveiling 9 days after giving birth, and wore my maternity clothes 
If its any consolation - I have been struggling with my last 20, and just lost 5 pounds these past 2 weeks- it came off with AF!

It went through that 2 weeks ago at my DS chrsitening.I couldn't decide what to wear and not to mention that nothing fits and i can't lose the pregnancy weight.

If it makes you feel better, i was 6 months pp when DS was christening and I felt HUGE and gross...but...the day was so nice, and i reminded myself that we gain weight for a reason...and it will eventually come off with some work.
At 9 months pp i feel better than ever. For some reason my body didn't want to let go of the weight for a while!
Have a wonderful day...it's such a happy event for your daughter, don't let it be overshadowed by this tiny thing

I had Josh baptized at 3 weeks PP. What a disaster. I remember the night before, having nothing to wear.
My boobs were engorged, I was still bleeding, I remember be so sweaty...

I'm 6 months pp and still have 25 lbs to go I get sad everytime I have to buy an outfit 2 sizes bigger than when I started, but DD was so worth it.
I'm almost at rock bottom with self confidence - I went for my annual physical and my doctor actually said "you know its been 6 months - you only need to wait 6 weeks" I guess he's trying to say I'm a fat azz!!!
You'll get it off - we need to get motivated!!!! They say it takes 9 months to put it on, so give yourself 9 months to take it off!!

I got back to myself after 1 whole year. Some people lose it in the first few weeks, others it takes time to come off.

For DS's Christening, I went to about 10 different stores and ended up bawling my eyes out when I couldn't find a single thing that looked nice on me, so I can understand what you're going through. I ended up wearing a skirt and shirt that I looked so-so in and we didn't have his Christening until he was 10 months old. I know exactly how you're feeling

If it helps, most of the dresses out these days make everyone look fat, even a size 0. In fact, when I was leaving the hospital, the nurse suggested I buy some of those dresses because it would hide the actual bulge and be comfy for me. She even said "they make skinny little girls look fat." I did buy 2...and if I catch myself at a bad angle in the wrong mood---> .
People keep telling me how good I look...and all I see are the 10 pounds still sitting there. Even though I know I look great for someone 3 weeks post-partum, it is still aggravating to see this extra weight sitting there!
