Kindergarten Halloween Project
Let me preface this my saying that I was a 2nd grade teacher for 7 years before becoming a SAHM 5 years ago, and I have COMPLETELY forgotten all the cool projects I ever made.
I found out last night at the PTA meeting that I will be the Class Mom in my son's Kindergarten class!
Now...the first order of business is that I have to lead the class in a Halloween project.
Give me some ideas. It can be ANYTHING...just nothing having to do with food ( - don't even start me on that again ).
So...shoot. I'm looking for something that I can do with the kids in maybe 1 or 2 periods. So nothing that requires too much "drying time" in between steps.
TIA!!

Definitely google and you'll come up with a lot of things. Check out enchantedlearning.com. I'm a kindergarten teacher and last year we made pumpkins out of paper bags. They were cute. Ask the teacher. He/she might have ideas of their own and you can help out by getting the supplies if she needs.

Re: Kindergarten Halloween Project
Thanks so much!
Actually, that's just it. The teacher said to do whatever I want. Totally up to me. And I don't know WHAT I want.

Re: Kindergarten Halloween Project
What about making Halloween buckets? Maybe using Foamies For instance:

or like this:
And if you have extra time they can put their names on it with the Foamies.
My friend did this for favors for her kids 1st birthday (His b-day fell around Halloween)

I figured you would like that! I know Michaels had the buckets a couple of weeks ago for $1.00 - let me know if you need me to look at the Michaels by me.

Re: Kindergarten Halloween Project
how about graphing different halloween items such as eyeball erasers, spiders, fangs, etc? put a few (different amounts) in each bag 1 per child, then have a sheet with corresponding pics and the kids have to color in how many they have of each - academic and fun.
i can't get away with cutesy stuff that doesn't have a lesson behind it, so i'm always thinking of ways to integrate
or you can get the candy dem bones and have kids graph those body parts that are found in their boxes
