Kitchen Cabinet Paint Spinoff
So my kitchen cabinet paint is chipping off the doors near the sink. I am thinking of matching the paint and painting over the chip. Otherwise the water is going into the particle board wood and swelling up the "wood".
Anyone have suggestions on any prep-work I should do before I paint the chipped parts?

sand down until smooth
paint with primer
paint with matching paint
top with polyacrylic so that doesn't happen again

i agree. also while youre doing all the work, inspect your cabinets all over to see if there are any other areas that need to be done now so you can get it all over and done with once. good luck!
